Located in the heart of Galway’s Latin Quarter, The House Hotel has long been a favourite on Galway’s cocktail scene. This November, they are launching a brand new cocktail menu created by their Head Cocktail Bartender, Aileen Cunningham. Aileen was recently crowned Galway’s best and has won an all-expenses paid trip of a lifetime to Havana, Cuba in recognition of her skills. She also gained headlines for her cocktail ‘The Duchess’ – designed especially for the Duchess of Cornwall’s visit to the hotel in May.
This new House cocktail menu will be launched on Saturday, November 7th in the House cocktail bar and it’s set to be an event not to be missed ! WIth tasty food on offer, and a bursting event calendar, it really is The Place To Party.

The perfect venue for a quick lunch, tasty bar bites, or a delicious dinner with friends, The House Bistro is fast becoming one of the best places to dine in Galway. Recent reviews following the Campo Viejo tapas trail, which is due to return to Galway in 2016, left our mouths watering. Offering something for everyone, new Head Chef Kevin Hynes is busy creating new lunch and dinner menus that we can’t wait to taste.
It was a busy season in The House Bistro highlighted by a royal visitor in May. The House hosted Her Royal Highness, The Duchess of Cornwall, and showcased the very best of the Wild Atlantic Way. Kevin’s top suppliers were present on the day and offered a delectable taste of just some of the delicious food that is on offer to us here in Galway.
Not to be a House event without a cocktail – Head Cocktail Bartender Aileen created a cocktail in her honour, which went down a treat. The Duchess is a delicate blend of Dingle Gin, Mumm Champagne & Elderflower liqueur, along with lemon scented dusting, ice cubes infused with rosemary, orange, lemon, and lime zest. It was described by The Duchess of Cornwall herself as being ‘quite innocuous’ and ‘packs a bit of a punch. You’ll need to sip it slowly as it is deceptively strong. Delicious though!”
Well if it’s good enough for royalty we know what we’ll be drinking on our next visit to The House Hotel.
