Walking Storm Desmond

Today when I woke up it was so still and quiet it practically felt spooky. It was such a madness yesterday with all the rain and the obscene wind, but today it all felt like a bad dream.

Still, while storm Desmond raged over us, I couldn’t miss the opportunity to walk to the Waterfall in Oughterard and of course,  walk Storm Desmond. Now was my chance.

Needless to say I did not meet anyone on the way except a couple of horses peacefully having lunch. The road was flooded heavily under the railroad bridge, the water reached almost up to my knees.

While I trudged and waded on towards the Waterfall I had to seriously hold tight against the wicked wind. Still, I am glad that my shots came out alright and all without a camera.

There were other spectators there as well and a photographer too, he got a few showers I think
