Portraiture Workshop

Miguel Maza Photography

Last December got an invitation to give a workshop on Portraiture. It was my first time doing a workshop and being in front of so many people, I’m talking about 40 people. (I used to teach Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, AutoCAD and 3DsMax before, but to groups of max 12 people. It was pretty easy to handle.)

Now, 40 people? I have to say it was a great experience and it wasn’t as complicated as I thought, but for future workshops, I’ll keep it to 12-15 people, I think it’s better and more effective because I can talk and be with each of them while they are shooting and putting into practice what I have taught them.

I knew at the very end that some people didn’t get any shots of the models and I was very disappointed. I really wanted everyone to have got some nice shots of the models.
