One Horse Pony from Whelans to Roisín Dubh

‘One Horse Pony’ have supported Blind Boys of Alabama, Jack L and Jerry Fish. The original acoustic blues formation from Cork is heading to Roisín Dubh,for their first gig in Galway, this February 27th.

Last year, has Pony topped the iTunes Blues chart with our single ‘Staring Blues’. We performed at several major Irish festivals, including Electric Picnic and the Guinness Cork Jazz Festival, as well as performing in some of Ireland’s top venues, including our monthly residency in Whelans, Dublin.

We’re a multi-cultural band (Irish, French and Polish members). Our fresh take on blues music is inspired in part by our unique instrumentation, in that our music heavily features traditional Irish instruments; the bodhran and the low whistle.

Members are as follows

Rev. Rob Hercules;
vocals/guitar

John ‘The Badger’; vocals/guitar

Kevin ‘Frank F. Germany’ Harmonica/vocals

Meerkat Milot; Percussion/Low Whistle/Vocals

King Bart: Double bass/bass guitars/vocals
